Prof. Rafiqul Gani visited China from 10-22 April 2023, During this period, he visited the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (Guangzhou campus) and South China University of Technology.
Prof. Gani visited Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (Guangzhou campus), where he gave a seminar, and a 3-days special course. Also, Prof. Gani is a distinguished visiting professor at the Sustainable Energy and Environment Thrust at HKUST (GZ) and discussed collaboration on decarbonization efforts.

Prof. Gani also visited South China University of Technology, where he gave a seminar on “Techno-economic and Sustainability Evaluation of CCUS Alternatives” and a lecture to undergraduate students on “Process Design, Analysis & Innovation in 12 Hierarchical Steps. Prof. Gani also met with professors from East China University of Science & Technology (Shanghai), Zhejiang University (Hangzhou) and Sun Yat Sen University (Guangzhou), to discuss topics of mutual interest and collaboration.
