ICAS SolventPro (Solvent Selection and Design framework) is a comprehensive approach to solving solvent selection problems. The framework integrates different methods and tools needed to manage the complexity and solve a wide range of solvent related problems in an efficient, flexible and robust manner. It provides templates for a) solvent based separations; b) solvents for organic synthesis (including complex reaction systems), c) solid (API) solubility and solvent selection for pharmaceutical processes, and, d) solvent-swap method. A parallel tool for ionic liquids as solvent is under development.
